Good for Investment

UBS. Their business is Wealth management. They want/must invest their client’s money and the end goal is to make them money. They’ll take few points along the way as a fee and, theoretically, everyone’s happy.

Some, and clearly a growing proportion of those clients, would like the option to invest in socially responsible businesses.

There must be quite a few businesses about these days that are able to offer societal benefits as well as economic ones because currently just under a quarter of all of UBS investments (and that’s a fair amount  of lolly) are made according to sustainable and socially responsible investment criteria. This represents a growing proportion of clients who are looking for ‘good’ as well as profitable investments .

Let’s not kid ourselves here, UBS are in the money making business but lets also look at the facts..if a quarter of that money making is made by investing in socially responsible businesses wouldn’t this be a good time to weave social responsibility and sustainability into the heart of  your business?
