Some opportunities are worth having. Not all of them are worth pursuing right now.

Folo Up

Man climbing ladder with longer ladder next to him. Doing reapir work.

Folo-Up was founded by Joffrey Bogemans, a self-taught software developer, after he was seriously injured when a ladder sold online as safe and compliant failed under him. That experience led him and co-founder Alan Duval, a data engineer, to build software that identifies unsafe and non-compliant products sold through online marketplaces.

The business had a strong founding story, working technology and several live opportunities at once, including a UK regulator, an industry association and a major commercial partner. None alone could carry the business, and pursuing all of them together meant none was getting full attention.

The work

Good Business Matters ran a Strategic Diagnostic with co-founders Joffrey and Alan to separate what needed action now from what was valid but premature, and to clarify which opportunity to build credibility around first.

The direction

Folo-Up left with a clear decision order. Live priorities, useful-later work and longer-range ideas were separated and sequenced, giving the founders one clear next move instead of several half-finished ones.

The shift

Sharper focus, less distraction and more resilience when timelines slipped.
