From documentary to mission-led organisation.
Bloody Mission

Bloody Mission was born from The Blood Run, a heartfelt documentary following Cal Gates undertaking a 250-kilometre run, raising $25,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. After seeing an early screening, Clifford recognised that the story, commitment and cause had the potential to create significantly greater impact.

The work
Good Business Matters helped shape and align the team around a broader vision for The Blood Run, establishing the strategic, brand and organisational foundations for Bloody Mission as an impact-led organisation. This meant articulating the mission and organising structure needed to support an emerging vision to eradicate blood cancer, then building a scalable identity around it. The process moved from strategy and brand principles into organisational positioning, partnership development and naming, with the name treated as part of a broader identity system rather than a standalone creative exercise.

The direction
Bloody Mission became the vehicle and launchpad through which the essence and energy of The Blood Run could be channelled into something others could join, fund and build on. It created a clear and compelling identity and a highly scalable platform for future fundraising, partnerships and community participation.
