SisterWorks, a Melbourne-based social enterprise, supports migrant and asylum seeker women to gain the skills they require to become financially independent and happily settled in their new Australian lives.
In 2018, SisterWorks were at a critical juncture in their development; turning 5 years old, and with an urgent imperative to move further away from grant funding and scale up their social enterprise operations.
Together, SisterWorks and Good Business Matters were successful in receiving a Boost Your Business Voucher from the Victorian Government to carry out a program of work to help SisterWorks identify and capture new business opportunities.
First, we established potential gaps and market opportunities for SisterWorks to take undertake new product development of their food range with a view to reaching new and emerging customers.
A key outcome our customer research and strategic workshops was the opportunity to define a small food product range and launch this range into 4 Ritchies IGA stores on the Mornington Peninsula.
We then supported SisterWorks with messaging, launch strategy, label design and point-of-sale materials.
