Work—
Strengthening
our community

“Good Business Matters have been instrumental in the development of our business strategy and brand since mid-2016. Their work has added significant value across our entire organisation and it’s always invigorating to work with them. The clarity of thinking, can-do attitude and responsive nature of the team is first-class”

Problem

Two well-established neighbourhood houses, in Preston and  Thornbury, were being merged. They needed to be brought together under a single identity that embraced their 60 respective years serving their local communities. The launch of the newly merged organisation needed to showcase a dynamic, future-focused entity. The new whole had to be greater than the sum of their parts.

Solution

We started off with a solid discovery process so we could better understand the new organisation’s needs, challenges and their desired results. From here a new brand evolved, alongside a clear positioning and marketing strategy.  This lead to the emergence of the new name and brand – “Bridge Darebin’.  The new name represents a ‘coming together’ of people to forge connections and build a stronger community. A Bridge is a strong metaphor for helping people to overcome their challenges and begin moving forward.

Results

The brand was successfully launched in November 2016.

We also developed a new visual identity to succinctly articulate the connection these neighbourhood houses have to society and the value they contribute to the community. We activated a full communications plan across their website, marketing collateral, signage, and social media. This followed on with the launch in 2018 of the award-winning sustainable social enterprise cafe, Moon Rabbit.

“Our upwards growth trajectory since 2016 is unprecedented in the 38 year history of this organisation. In no small way Good Business Matters can be thanked for the part they have played in that growth”
