Welcome to the Good Carpenter, regular snippets of sustainable and socially responsible practice, providing inspiration and practical ideas. The Good Carpenter also quite likes a chat, so please get in touch, share your ideas, and let us know what good things you or your colleagues are doing. In this inaugural edition we bring you a story about carpenters who aren’t really carpenters… but they sure are doing some good. A group of Melbourne folk have got together under the moniker of Urban Bush Carpenters, to salvage discarded timber and re-work it into chook houses, planter boxes and other tools for sustainable-living.
